August 3, 2010 is the Primary Election to nominate candidates for State Govenor, as well as state and federal Senators and Representatives. The General Election will be November 2, 2010.
If you have not registered to vote, you can obtain a mail-in voter registration form by clicking on the following link: http://www.michigan.gov/documents/MIVoterRegistration_97046_7.pdf
The law now states in order to receive a ballot, you must show picture proof of identification. This can be a Michigan Drivers License, a Michigan Personal Identification Card or a United States Passport.
You can go online to check whether you are registered and the location where you vote, as well as see an example of the ballot. www.michigan.gov/vote
Check your voters’ ID card or the Precinct Map as to where you vote.
